kikoko web design

Kikoko is a cannabis wellness brand designed to help people address issues related to sleep, stress, sex, focus, energy and play. During my time at Kikoko, I worked closely with the CDO and a third party team of engineers to optimize the DTC checkout flow and grow the site as the brand expanded it’s portfolio of product offerings.

KIKOKO Web Design

The team

The Kikoko website was optimized and expanded over several years by CDO Julia Flagg-Leaver, web engineers Amy Okuma and Todd Lash, and myself. The goal was to update the website to support direct to consumer purchases, optimize purchase flow, and update and release new supporting pages as new products were launched.

The brand

Kikoko is a cannabis wellness brand originally founded by women for women who experience common issues related to pain, sleep, sex, focus and energy. Kikoko created a discreet and healthy way to safely find your dose and embrace radical self-care with cannabis.

Web experience

Our goal with the desktop and mobile website was to reduce bounce rate, improve the checkout flow and increase brand education for the Kikoko product line. An analysis of the Kikoko heat map revealed a drop off in user interaction towards the bottom of the page, so we prioritized the most important new product launch and product category content at the top. In addition we streamlined the top navigation to make it faster for user to navigate to a specific product, line, benefit grouping, or simply find their dose. We identified a need to compare multiple products within the same category to help users find a product that best suites their needs. Using the established Kikoko color system, we created five new benefit focused pages featuring all products in that category and key product information. Because Kikoko sells direct to customers through a variety of distributors, a zip code based system was setup to help users identify the correct delivery service for their area.
